Don's 1970 Corvette


 

HISTORY

This 1970 Donnybrooke Green Corvette  was built on the first day of production, 5 January 1970, and was the 138th  1970 Corvette to roll off the production line.  It was shipped to General Motors Limited, London England for sale in Europe.  General Motors Continental in Antwerp, Belgium sold the car to  the first owner (a resident of Germany) on 14 October 1970.  I purchased the car in 1971, while stationed in Germany with the Canadian Army, and shipped the car back to Canada in July of 1972.  The car has been stored every winter since it's arrival in Canada.

POWER TRAIN

Originally a 350 cubic inch, 300 horsepower engine is now:

355 Cubic Inch/350 Horsepower (Crane Camshaft)

Holley 750 cfm Carburetor/Edelbrock Intake Manifold

Electronic Ignition

4 Speed Wide Ratio Transmission

3.36 Rear End Ratio
